I am Lorenny Perez, a student from Ember Charter School. This portfolio is a representation of the skills I developed and the knowledge I gained as a graphic design student at my school. With my work, I explored different ways in which I can redesign or design original work in ways that were appealing to the eye but also showcased my artistic skills. I’ve explored Afrofuturism, remaking of album covers, photography, how to deal with color theory, the mixture and creations of different colors, and experimenting with textures and dimensions in designs. I was also able to create work that brought attention to important issues society faces today and has been facing for many years. I want this portfolio to demonstrate a clear idea of the results of the practice of the skills I was taught while being a graphic design student. To show how fun and knowledgeable this process was while being able to showcase my skills in the best way possible but also something that reflected my creative ideas and values. Something that I can show to people and say yes, that is my work with confidence.
